Home business, home education and health challenges: what makes us tic?

Cumberland Nature Reserve

Since we started home school, we’ve tried to do one outing a week that isn’t school related. So far, we’ve managed one. And the museum was closed! So not a good start. (Oh wait, two. I forgot).

However, yesterday we went to Cumberland Nature Reserve with our Church and our sister Church, First Baptist in PMB. I don’t know what teachers normally do on outings like this but we took the kids on a long walk to a waterfall, and then let them play. I tried to identify stuff on the way, and explain mountain safety etc, although to be honest, it’s not my strongest area. However, the girls wrote about what we did, or drew a picture, and they did have a lot of fresh air and good fun. So that was great, and I feel slightly less guilty than before.

Cumberland Nature Reserve is beautiful and unspoiled.

Must. Try. Harder.

(We really are privileged to live in such a beautiful place).
